The application of the 630 automatic hydraulic box-type filter press in the tailings slurry dewatering project of a mining company in South America
Project Background
A mining company located in South America mainly engages in the screening and flotation processing of copper ores. The beneficiation workshop generates approximately 30 cubic meters of tailings slurry every day, with a solid content of about 25%. The particles are fine and contain a small amount of residual flotation reagents. The customer's original centrifugal dewatering equipment has high operating energy consumption, is prone to wear, and has a high moisture content in the output, resulting in high costs for tailings storage and transportation.
Solution
The client contacted us through the online platform and made the following requests:
- The equipment needs to be able to handle fine-grained tailings and should not cause the filter cloth to get clogged.
- The moisture content of the discharged material should be lower than 20%, which is conducive to dry storage.
- There is no centralized drainage system on site. The filtrate must be clean and reusable.
- The equipment is simple, reliable and easy to maintain.
We have recommended the automatic hydraulic box-type filter press (with center-feed system) and made targeted configurations:
