Selection Scheme of Diaphragm Filter Press for Ceramic Slurry Filtration
I. Clear Customer Requirements and Strict Technical Standards
The UAE customer focuses on the production and processing of hard ferrite and has put forward clear and rigorous technical specifications for solid-liquid separation equipment. In terms of capacity, it is required to handle at least 2 tons of dry solids per day, corresponding to the efficient operation demand under an 8-hour working system. For quality control, the final filter cake moisture content must be stably maintained at 10% - 15%, which directly affects the efficiency of the subsequent thermal drying process. Regarding equipment performance, the working pressure needs to reach 1.0 MPa, and polypropylene plates are selected as the medium to adapt to the ceramic slurry grinding scenario.
The material requirements are particularly precise: all components in direct contact with the wet ferrite cake must be made of SUS316 stainless steel. Meanwhile, the density of the dry filter cake should be maintained at 2.5 - 3.0 grams per cubic centimeter, corresponding to a daily processing volume of 0.67 - 0.8 cubic meters. The customer clearly prioritizes the use of diaphragm filter presses, with the core demand of achieving the target moisture content through high pressure.
II. Precise Equipment Configuration and Comprehensive Demand Satisfaction
Targeting the customer's requirements, we accurately selected a 200L diaphragm filter press as the core equipment. Equipped with a high-pressure plunger pump, combined with automatic hydraulic and automatic plate pulling functions, the equipment not only ensures a working pressure of 1.0 MPa but also significantly improves the operational efficiency under the 8-hour working system, easily meeting the daily processing target of 2 tons of dry solids.
A high-pressure water pump is adopted for the extrusion process, which can effectively control the filter cake moisture content within the customer-required range of 10% - 15%, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent thermal drying process. In terms of material configuration, the equipment frame is wrapped with 316 stainless steel, and combined with polypropylene plate media suitable for ceramic slurry. This fully meets the customer's strict standards for the material of contact components and media applicability, while adapting to the density and volume characteristics of the target filter cake, achieving comprehensive matching of technical requirements.
