Junyi Bag Filter Exported to Southeast Asia: Side-In-Side-Out Design Solves Pipeline Retrofit Challenges in Production Lines
Client Background
This client, a medium-sized chemical enterprise based in Thailand, primarily produces industrial thinners, cleaning solvents, and degreasing agents for local automotive parts manufacturing and electronics cleaning industries. The production line previously used old-style basket filters with sintered metal mesh screens, which suffered from difficult cleaning, rapid pressure drop increases, and high manual maintenance demands. The filters required shutdown cleaning twice per shift, severely disrupting continuous production.
Core Pain Points
-
1
Incomplete cleaning of metal mesh screens led to fluctuating filtration precision due to residual contaminants, affecting downstream customers' acceptance of cleanliness standards.
-
2
Frequent disassembly and cleaning accelerated seal wear, posing leakage risks.
-
3
The inlet/outlet orientation of the old equipment did not align with the existing pipeline layout, necessitating costly elbow modifications.
-
4
On-site operators reported that screen changes were complex, required special tools, and took approximately 45 minutes per operation.
Solution
After an on-site assessment, our technical team recommended the JYSF-9#-304 side-in-side-out bag filter, equipped with 180-micron PP filter bags.

Side-in-side-out design
Perfectly matched the client's existing horizontal pipeline routing, eliminating the need for major pipe modifications and simplifying installation.
Filter bag selection
The large 280×1000 mm bags offered roughly three times the filtration area of the original metal screens, significantly enhancing dirt-holding capacity.
Simplified operation
The top quick-opening design allowed a single operator to change bags manually without special tools.
Results (After 3 Months of Operation)
Extended bag change intervals
Replacement frequency extended from every 4 hours (cleaning) to every 72 hours (bag replacement), reducing shift operating time by approximately 70%.
Improved filtration stability
Single-use PP bags eliminated secondary contamination risks from incomplete cleaning, reducing downstream customer return rates by about 40%.
Reduced overall costs
Compared to the recurring labor, cleaning agents, and seal replacement costs of the old metal screens, the new system reduced monthly operating expenses by roughly 32%.
Flexible production capacity
Two filters operate in parallel; each has a design pressure of 10 bar and maintains actual working pressure at 5.5–6.2 bar. During peak periods, a single unit can run independently, allowing flexible adjustment of production loads.
Client Feedback
The Production Supervisor commented: "The new filters require almost no daily maintenance. Operators only need to spend 10 minutes every three days to change the bags. Most importantly, particle count data in the solvent output remain consistently within specification, and our customers have also reduced the frequency of incoming material re-inspections."
The Procurement Manager added: "The sandblasted surface finish gives the filters a great appearance, and we've seen no rust spots even in the humid plant environment. They're also easy to wipe clean. We plan to continue using the same model for next year's expansion."
