Efficient sludge dewatering solutions help enterprises achieve a win-win situation in terms of environmental protection and cost reduction.

Project Background
In a large-scale comprehensive chemical industrial park in Côte d'Ivoire, approximately 80 tons of mixed industrial sludge are generated daily. The original treatment method used traditional belt filter presses, which had problems such as high moisture content (>75%), high operating energy consumption, rapid filter cloth wear, and low automation level. This led to high subsequent disposal costs and made it difficult to meet increasingly strict environmental emission requirements. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a more efficient, stable, and fully controllable deep sludge dehydration solution throughout the process.
Challenges and Requirements
High-efficiency Dewatering: The requirement is to reduce the moisture content of the sludge from 98% to below 60%, significantly reducing the volume.
Cost control for operation: It is necessary to reduce electricity consumption, labor costs, and the frequency of replacement of wearables.
Adaptation to complex materials: The sludge composition is complex and contains a small amount of corrosive chemical residues. The equipment must have excellent tolerance.
Automation and Safety: Enhance the level of automation, reduce manual intervention, and ensure operational safety.
Our Solution
After conducting on-site investigations, our technical team designed a comprehensive dehydration solution specifically tailored for them, featuring an automatic hydraulic box-type filter press as the core component:
Core equipment configuration:
Main unit: Automatic hydraulic box-type filter press, integrated with PLC automatic control system, equipped with carbon steel reinforced frame and automatic hydraulic locking system.
Feed system: High-flow 304 stainless steel pneumatic diaphragm pump, corrosion-resistant, suitable for fluctuations in sludge flow.
Filter system: Dual-flow design with anti-corrosion PVC collection tank for easy observation and maintenance; reinforced polypropylene filter plates and wear-resistant filter cloth.
Implementation Effect
Since the equipment has been in operation for six months, the results have been remarkable:
Enhanced dehydrating effect: The moisture content of the sludge remains below 58%, and the reduction rate exceeds 60%
Significant cost reduction: Energy consumption decreased by 35%, and the filter cloth lifespan was extended to over 3 months.
Environmental compliance: The sludge cake meets the standards for resource utilization, contributing to the environmental rating of the park
Customer Feedback
"This filter press system not only solves the problem of dehydration, but also exceeds expectations in terms of energy saving and automation. From the scheme design to after-sales service, it demonstrates professionalism and represents a successful production upgrade cooperation."
