Customer Case: Malaysian plant raw material factory uses small manual box-type filter press to solve the filtration problem of alkaline process liquid
2026-04-08
Industry: Plant raw material processing (in the direction of food and natural products)
Purchased Equipment: XMQ2/380 Manual Jack Box-type Filter Press
Customer Background
This customer is located in Penang, Malaysia. They mainly engage in the initial processing of tropical plant raw materials, providing plant extract and concentrated liquid to the downstream food, beverage, and natural fragrance industries. The daily filtered materials of the factory are alkaline process liquids, with a pH value stable between 9 and 11, containing a large number of tiny plant particles. They need to achieve efficient solid-liquid separation without damaging the active ingredients.
Facing challenges
The plant particles in the materials are very small, and traditional screen filters are unable to effectively intercept them.
The process requires recovering the clear liquid for subsequent concentration purposes, and high filtration accuracy is required.
Some areas of the factory do not have the conditions for power connection, so electric filtration equipment cannot be used.
The processing volume per batch is not large, but the batches occur frequently. Therefore, a flexible and user-friendly device is required.
Solution

The customer selected the XMQ2/380 manual hydraulic pressurizer box-type filter press. The main configuration and matching points are as follows:
Box-type filter plate combined with special filter cloth: Effectively intercepts fine plant particles, and the filtrate is of high clarity.
Manual jack compression structure: Completely without electricity, suitable for multi-area usage requirements in factories
2 square meters of filtration area: precisely matching small-scale, high-frequency filtration tasks
Single Mingli Drainage Design: Operators can observe the water discharge situation of each filter plate in real time, and promptly detect any damage to the filter cloth.
The entire machine is equipped with casters: It can be moved between different workstations, and one machine can serve multiple production lines.
Usage effect
The content of suspended solids in the filtrate decreased from approximately 1200 mg/L before filtration to approximately 80 mg/L after filtration.
The single batch processing capacity is approximately 180 liters of raw liquid, and the output of clear filtrate is about 165 liters.
The filtration accuracy meets the requirements for the feed of the downstream concentration process, and there is no need for a secondary clarification.
The equipment can be moved to different workstations in just 5 minutes, resulting in a significant increase in equipment utilization.
Customer feedback
"We tried several filtration methods, but either they couldn't clean thoroughly enough or they were inconvenient to operate with electricity. This manual pressure filter machine precisely addresses these two issues. The filtered liquid is very clear, and it doesn't require an electrician. Workers can use it wherever they go."
Summary
This Malaysian customer successfully solved the filtration problem of fine particles in alkaline plant process liquid without connecting to power supply by introducing the XMQ2/380 manual hydraulic pressurized filter box. They obtained clear and pure recovered liquid, meeting the feed requirements for the subsequent concentration process. The miniaturized, manual and mobile design of the equipment makes it highly suitable for small-batch, high-frequency and multi-station processing scenarios of plant raw materials.
