Customer Case: Hydraulic Chamber Plate Filter Press for Poultry Manure Water and Wastewater Treatment
A poultry farm in Southeast Asia generates large volumes of poultry manure water and wastewater daily, resulting in increasing treatment demands. The farm required a reliable solid-liquid separation solution capable of handling both manure slurry and wastewater, while also being compatible with existing operational processes and power supply conditions. After extensive evaluation, the farm ultimately selected the XMZ35-630 hydraulic chamber plate filter press, equipped with 45 PP filter plates.
The farm’s previous method of treating poultry manure water and wastewater relied heavily on manual labor, leading to inconsistent results. With high moisture content in the materials, the farm needed an efficient way to separate solids from liquids. Additionally, site-specific requirements included operation under 220V, 50Hz single-phase power, and a compact footprint that could fit within the existing waste treatment area. The farm also desired compatibility with its existing pumps and piping systems.
The selected configuration includes a hydraulic chamber plate filter press with a carbon steel frame, designed for 0.8 MPa pressure and featuring a 160 mm cylinder diameter. The equipment is equipped with manual feeding, hydraulic drive, and automatic plate pulling functions, significantly reducing manual labor per cycle. A central feed design ensures even distribution of slurry between filter plates, while dual open-channel plastic troughs allow smooth discharge of filtrate.
The filter press is fitted with 43 intermediate plates and 2 end plates, all made of PP material, measuring 630×630 mm in outer dimensions and 55 mm in thickness. The filter cloth model 750B is specifically matched to the 630 mm filter plate size. The system is paired with a QBK-50-PP pneumatic diaphragm pump connected via PP piping, forming a complete feeding and filtration system. The hydraulic station operates at 220V, 50Hz, single-phase power with a 2.2 kW motor, matching the farm’s existing electrical infrastructure.
After installation, the farm achieved more stable and consistent treatment of poultry manure water and wastewater. The hydraulic drive and automatic plate pulling simplified the unloading process, while the PP filter plates and PP piping demonstrated excellent resistance to corrosive materials. The pneumatic diaphragm pump provided reliable feeding with minimal electrical complexity. According to feedback from the farm, the filter press seamlessly integrated into daily operations, and the improved solid-liquid separation made subsequent handling of filter cakes and filtrate much more convenient.
This case demonstrates that a properly configured hydraulic chamber plate filter press can effectively meet the solid-liquid separation needs for poultry manure water and wastewater treatment in agricultural applications—particularly suitable for scenarios requiring compatibility with specific power supplies, corrosion resistance, and ease of operation.
